Fraxel and Fractional Laser in Seoul: Resurface Scars, Texture and Sun Damage

“Fraxel” has become shorthand for fractional laser resurfacing. At Delight Dermatology Clinic we use fractional CO2 laser — treating tiny columns of skin at a time — to rebuild collagen for smoother texture, softer scars and fresher skin.

What is Fraxel (fractional laser)?

Fractional laser resurfacing creates thousands of microscopic treatment columns in the skin while leaving surrounding skin intact, so healing is fast and new collagen replaces damaged tissue, improving scars, texture, pores and fine lines. Most people need 3–5 sessions about 4–6 weeks apart, with 3–7 days of redness and flaking after each.

Smoother, more refined skin surface.

Results timeline

How fractional laser rebuilds skin

Each laser column removes a tiny core of old tissue. Untreated skin between columns speeds healing, while the wound‑healing response lays down fresh collagen over the next months.

  • Days 1–3: redness and swelling like sunburn
  • Days 3–7: fine flaking or bronzing
  • 4–6 weeks: smoother texture; next session
  • 3–6 months: collagen remodelling peaks
